Standards and Liability, a Webinar by MLMIC and HANYS
MLMIC risk management experts will join HANYS on June 10 to present Standards and Liability, a webinar with risk management strategies to address aggressive patient behavior in the workplace. Together with Dr. Lisa DiBlasi Moorehead, of The Joint Commission, MLMIC’s Mark Ambrose and Anne Heintz will share considerations for managing liability associated with this growing concern. The session will stream from 2 – 3 p.m.
Standards and Liability is the third webinar of a five-part virtual series, titled Preventing and Responding to Aggressive Patient Behavior, focused on challenges faced by healthcare professionals responding to agitated and violent patient behavior in the clinical setting.
The program begins May 5 with a discussion on the psychology behind this demeanor and strategies for developing interventions. Other topics include use of healthcare simulation to build solutions, approaches to managing aggression in pediatric patients and those with intellectual or developmental disabilities and protocol for protecting patients and staff. Each webconference offers attendees the opportunity to learn from and ask questions of national experts.
Policyholders are encouraged to attend and can view the complete agenda on the HANYS event registration page. Please note that registration applies to all five sessions. Contact Registration Support at learning@hanys.org or (518) 431-7867 with questions.
