Researchers recently measured physician knowledge about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and found that doctors lack specific understanding of the issues and barriers patients encounter. Because of these knowledge gaps, physicians may fail to comply with the ADA and contribute to persisting inequities in care.
