Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act Webinar Hosted by MedPro
COVID-19 has highlighted the vulnerabilities healthcare facilities have in delivering care. Creative approaches were necessary to meet the community need while balancing capacity issues and regulatory requirements. This webinar, presented by MedPro, will explore how the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) impacts care delivery in rural health facilities, as well as strategies to ensure compliance and reduce risk exposures associated with EMTALA violations. Nancy May-Skinner, Esq., with the MLMIC Legal Department will present at the event, which takes place Tuesday, June 21, at 2 p.m.
This program will:
- review the requirements of the EMTALA and how the statute impacts the delivery of care;
- discuss how the limited access to services and patient resources can impact the ability to provide care in a rural setting; and
- implement strategies to reduce the risk of an EMTALA violation for your organization.
This webinar is free to attend. Register here.
