MLMIC Insurance Company Creates Dental Advisory Panel

 MLMIC Insurance Company is proud to announce a new, three-person Dental Advisory Panel which will launch in January 2025. The Panel’s purpose is to bring together MLMIC-insured dental professionals to provide MLMIC with information and guidance on matters that mean the most to practicing dentists in the changing world of dentistry in New York State. Insights gathered from this expert information will be very useful to MLMIC as the company develops its Dental program product offerings and innovations.

The Panel will meet quarterly, with the ability to call ad-hoc meetings as needed and provide insights on topics including but not limited to:

• Industry updates such as new and emerging technologies and the top issues faced within the practice of dentistry.
• New or emerging areas of concern to be addressed in Risk Management Education.
• Editorial content suggestions and creation.
• Speaking opportunities to support MLMIC’s ongoing initiatives targeted at young, new dentists.
• Focus Groups designed to improve upon MLMIC’s product offerings for dentists.
• Further enhancing and reinforcing MLMIC’s relationship with NYSDA.

The new Panel members are Dr. Kevin Henner, Dr. Renuka Bijoor and Dr. Gregory Dodd. In addition to being NYSDA members, these three experienced and esteemed dentists hail from diverse geographic regions and backgrounds, which helps provide a balanced representation of issues that are important to dentists across New York State. MLMIC’s goal is to be in the best position to develop and offer practicing dentist products, services and risk management educational content that meets and exceeds their current and future needs based on the information and feedback provided by the Panel and New York State dentists.
