NYS Dentists: Complete This NYSDA Risk Management Course for a 10% Policy Discount!
Want to brush up on your risk management knowledge and get a discount on your MLMIC policy? We encourage you to complete this free, on-demand NYSDA risk management course, sponsored by MLMIC!
This no-cost NYSDA risk management course, developed according to New York State laws and regulations, is less than three hours long and will get you big savings on your MLMIC policy! New York State dentists who complete this course will be entitled to a 10% discount on their liability premiums for a three-year period from MLMIC. Remember, this is the only course that makes you eligible for the policy discount. You can gain access to the on-demand course here.
Dr. Frederick Wetzel and John W. VanDenburgh of Napierski, VanDenburgh, Napierski & O’Connor, LLP, present this course based on their experience in malpractice insurance and risk management in the dental environment. Dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants would all benefit from the legal and ethical information in this course.
Non-MLMIC policyholders are encouraged to check with their carrier concerning the availability of a discount. If you have not completed an approved risk management program within the past three years, you must take this course to continue to receive your discount.
At the end of this course, you will have received a certificate of completion to submit to your malpractice carrier. Registrants who complete this course will be entitled to three continuing education credits. NYSDA members will automatically receive three lecture credits with the NYSDA Continuing Education Registry.
Please note that this course does not provide eligibility for the NYS Regulation 124 Excess Insurance Program. Dentists who have this requirement should contact their excess insurance carrier for more information.
