Managing patient expectations is one of the most difficult challenges in dentistry. Misunderstandings associated with the cost, time, and discomfort associated with care, and a lack of proper documentation when those aspects are properly communicated to patients both drive professional liability claims against dentists.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize reasons why patients may sue dentists
  • Review prevalent trends from malpractice claims analytics
  • Discuss strategies to reduce liability for common situations both within office operations and in the procedure chair
